Judge Devine and his wife believe strongly in serving our community.  Judge Devine currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri, and is the President of IMPACT Rotary of Columbia, an organization he helped found in 2019.  Christina volunteers with the Thompson Foundation for Autism, and both she and Judge Devine are long-time members of the The Crossing Church.

Judge Josh Devine is the son of Jim and Sharon Devine.  Prior to his death in 2010, Jim served for 30 years, first as a dedicated law professor and then as Associate Dean, at the University of Missouri School of Law.  He believed strongly in the rule of law, fundamental fairness, the administration of justice, and the critical role that local courts play in promoting these values.  He instilled these values in Judge Devine throughout his life, especially during his early legal career.  It is Judge Devine’s own strong belief in these values, as well as his love for our community, that has motivated him to serve as a judge.
